## FAQ

### Is BackShift really free?

Yes. Core backup, restore, and migration features are free forever. There are no
limits on the number of backups or schedules. Upgrade to BackShift Pro for cloud
storage destinations (S3, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, FTP), AES-256 encryption,
and priority support.

### Where can I find documentation?

Full guides and a migration manual are available at https://backshift.gt.tc.

### Is my data secure?

BackShift protects your backup directory from direct web access using `.htaccess`
rules. Pro users get AES-256 encryption on every archive.

### Does it work on shared hosting?

Yes. The chunked engine breaks large operations into smaller steps, so timeouts
are not an issue even on entry-level shared hosting plans.
